All
of the Bedwetting alarms listed on Amazon are under the Health and Personal
Care category. This is the correct category that the product should be listed
under. The only manufacturer who goes a step further is DryBuddy who accurately
lists the DryBuddyEZ alarm under the category “Bladder Control Devices” which
is a sub section of Incontinence & Ostomy under Health Care subcategory.
This
can easily be verified under http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Health-Personal-Care-Bladder-Control-Devices/zgbs/hpc/3763321/
The importance of correct category selection
is important for two reasons. It helps consumers pick the right product when
they search on Amazon.com and sellers pay the right fees to Amazon. It is a
serious violation of Amazon’s policy to list products in an incorrect category
as it is a manipulation of the system. But we expected this from the Bedwetting
Store.
Since
the new DryBuddyEZ alarm has entered the market, the Bedwetting Store has moved
all Malem alarms from the Health and Personal Care to the Home Improvement
Category under Household Sensors & Alarms. This can easily be verified for
the 2 Malem alarms.
The
table below is the commission rate Amazon charges sellers. For brevity, we have
kept the table compact and limited to the two above referenced categories.

fee. See notes above.

So now we see that the
Bedwetting Store saves about $3 per Malem alarm that they sell on Amazon. Not
only is the Bedwetting Store and Malem cheating parents and consumers, they
have gone a step further and started cheating Amazon as well. It does not
surprise us as we have come to expect the impossible from the Bedwetting Store
when it comes to deceit and fraud. The only logical explanation is that a new
alarm about a third the price of the Malem alarm is thrashing Malem.
We contacted Amazon about
this violation and requested that the Bedwetting Store be taken off the website
or penalized. We will update this blog when we hear back from Amazon or have an
update for our readers.
To truly compare Malem with
all relevant competitors in today’s marketplace, look at http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html . This is the most comprehensive set of data and
facts about bedwetting alarms that we have seen. Malem does not fare well. This
explains why Malem and the Bedwetting Store resort to deceit and propaganda to
promote the Malem bedwetting alarm!
The Bedwetting Store is the
only seller who advertises and continues to sell the Malem Bedwetting Alarm.
All other sellers have either realized the truth about the Malem Bedwetting
Alarm or have abandoned it, but the Bedwetting Store continues its deceit.
