We shall dedicate this blog to a single page on the
Bedwetting Store website. There is more deceit and concealment on every page of
the Bedwetting Store than all other manufacturers combined.
The Bedwetting Store introduced a
Price Match Guarantee (or so it seems) to convince their customers that they
are getting the best value on bedwetting alarms. The page is located at http://www.bedwettingstore.com/priceprotectionlightbox.html. We will analyze this Price Match Guarantee in
detail.
“We want you to be confident that
when you shop with us, you are receiving the best value available.” Best value
on what? Who decided the meaning of “Best Value”? The Bedwetting Store forces
products to customers hands and then claims to be the best value? How is a $100
bedwetting alarm with 1-tone a “Best Value”? What about other full featured
alarms that sell for a third of the price of these bedwetting alarms? Why is
the Bedwetting Store trying to convince customers that this is the “Best
value”? Declining sales?
“If within 7 days of your
bedwettingstore.com purchase, your item goes on sale or you spot an online or
retail competitor with a lower price on the exact item, let us know and we will
credit you the difference.” How does a
customer let you know? Is there an online form, a phone number to reach you?
Who else sells your products where a customer can spot the “exact item”. To the
best of our knowledge, the Bedwetting Store promotes Malem and Rodger brands of
bedwetting alarms and these brands are not carried by any other online or
retail competitor. So what are your chances of finding one? Big fat ZERO.
“All price matching requires
verifiable proof. Proof of price includes: photograph of sale price tag PLUS
contact information for the store (name, phone, address) for in store sales OR
a link to an online sale price on competitor’s website. All items must be
identical, including manufacturer product code, size, color, and model, and
must be in-stock and available for immediate shipment.” Once again, more dust
on the floor. In our experience, we have never seen a stricter price match
policy than the one at the Bedwetting Store. Maybe its their way of saying. Our
way or the highway.
“Lower prices include published
prices ONLY.” We have no idea what this means. We called a Bedwetting Store
representative and they had no knowledge of the webpage and declined to speak
with us.
“Price match does not include
auction sites, such as E-Bay, businesses that do not regularly answer their
telephones during normal business hours, or any items marked as clearance,
closeout, damaged product, used, refurbished, open packages or liquidation
sales.” How and what does this have to do with your Price Match Guarantee?
“We do not honor retailer misprints
or typographical misprints.” OK. We understand this, but once again where is
this sold in a retail outlet?
We can conclude that the Bedwetting
Store is not selling products in the consumers best interest. The Price Match
Guarantee is not intended to help consumers but rather to tell consumers that
once you purchase from us, you are stuck. It is unfortunate that a large seller
of bedwetting alarms like the Bedwetting Store has to resort to deceitful
tactics like this to boost sales. Bus this is not the first time or the first
example of the Bedwetting Store doing this. Thee are dozens of pages on their
website which support our belief that the Bedwetting Store is indeed the
fountainhead of deceit.
To truly compare Malem with
all relevant competitors in today’s marketplace, look at http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html . This is the most comprehensive set of data and
facts about bedwetting alarms that we have seen. Malem does not fare well. This
explains why Malem and the Bedwetting Store resort to deceit and propaganda to
promote the Malem bedwetting alarm!
The Bedwetting Store is the
only seller who advertises and continues to sell the Malem Bedwetting Alarm.
All other sellers have either realized the truth about the Malem Bedwetting
Alarm or have abandoned it, but the Bedwetting Store continues its deceit.
