It's incredible how all of
these bedwetting alarms (Malem, Chummie, Wet-Stop) claim to be the
"best" yet they do not post actual references and research to
substantiate such claims! It's fine to describe the features of the product or
to even provide a comparison of all the products, as in http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html . Yet, none of those three aforementioned sites provide scientific
and conclusive evidence that substantiates their claims. This can create doubts
about their credibility.
A page on the Malem
website states Malem "Ultimate" range Enuresis Alarms are designed to
maximise effectiveness by providing
a selectable combination of sound(s) and/or vibration to suit the needs of the user. " (the bold emphasis is ours).
Have they truly compared all the bed-wetting alarm systems in the world? What
measurements did they use (particularly for maximise effectiveness)? Which
authority conducted these studies? When, where and how?
A quick review of http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html suggests that Malem is not the most effective bedwetting alarm,
and certainly not the best as claimed by B. Mercer “friendlypharmacist” on his
Listmania! List on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Best-Bedwetting-Alarms/lm/RJGXTL3DMSKUS)
It is the same story or
issue with " The BEST bedwetting alarms on the market are from Malem. This one has both sound and vibration to help
your child get dry. " Where is this proof that can be examined and
studied? Nor does Malem or the Bedwetting Store provide any links to research
or studies? Where does this wonderfully broad and ethereal quote comes from?
Hype?
"Our #1 Bedwetting
Alarm”
The Bedwetting Store does
a brilliant job of confusing parents into purchasing the Malem bedwetting alarm
by making them believe that this statement is being made by Amazon on whose
site the alarm is listed.
This constitutes deception by perversion.
Describing products as "BEST" and how they are different is often
done. But companies in this industry should realize that parents and other
users deserve real information and hard data to make a thorough decision on
which bed-wetting alarms may be suitable for them. Not false hype with no
justification!
With respect to data about
the Malem bedwetting alarm, why can we not find physical sizes and weights
about this alarm on your site or a referenced site? As to performance,
customers at Amazon and another prominent retailer of your alarm rate it as 3
(we can easily determine that most of the reviews are false and promoted by the
Bedwetting Store). These are very negative opinions by users who have used and
reviewed your product. The obvious questions relate to what you are hiding about
your product that customers dislike so much?
The Bedwetting Store
website lists Alarm Warranty: 1 year on alarm, 90 days on sensor. Although this
warranty is normal with industry standards, you do not mention what a customer
needs to do to replace the product on the purchase link. All of this is
indicative of deceit by
concealment.
It
is disappointing to see a company like the Bedwetting Store resort to dirty
tactics to sell their Bedwetting alarms. Bedwetting Store and Malem, making up
your own superlative claims and concealing relevant information is not
wise.
To truly compare Malem with
all relevant competitors in today’s marketplace, look at http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html . This is the most comprehensive set of data and
facts about bedwetting alarms that we have seen. Malem does not fare well. This
explains why Malem and the Bedwetting Store resort to deceit and propaganda to
promote the Malem bedwetting alarm!
The Bedwetting Store is the
only seller who advertises and continues to sell the Malem Bedwetting Alarm.
All other sellers have either realized the truth about the Malem Bedwetting
Alarm or have abandoned it, but the Bedwetting Store continues its deceit.
